Working With GCs & Facility Managers

How fast is your bid turnaround?

+

Most bids are returned within 24 to 48 hours. We read plans, perform our own takeoffs, and work directly off construction schedules.

Do you work off construction schedules?

+

Yes. We routinely coordinate with GCs and other trades, attend schedule meetings, and sequence our work around the project schedule from rough-in through punch and turnover.

Can you work after hours or in occupied facilities?

+

Yes. We regularly schedule after-hours and weekend work for occupied commercial spaces and facilities, using containment, masking, and HEPA controls as needed.

What is your approach to project management?

+

Clear communication, regular updates, and on-site coordination. Every project has a single point of contact, and we close out with a thorough cleanup and walkthrough.

Safety, Licensing & Insurance

Are you licensed and insured?

+

Yes. Gold Standard Coatings is fully licensed and insured. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is available on request before mobilization.

Are your crews OSHA compliant?

+

Yes. We follow strict safety protocols on every project — full PPE, jobsite-specific safety plans, and OSHA-compliant practices to maintain a safe environment for our team, other trades, and the public.

Can you provide a COI with additional insureds?

+

Yes. We can issue a COI listing the appropriate additional insureds before mobilization. Send the requirements with your bid invitation.

Estimates, Deposits & Payment

Do you provide free estimates?

+

Yes. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for commercial and industrial projects. Call (513) 473-1564 or email GSCoatingsOhio@gmail.com to get started.

Do you require a deposit?

+

Once a contract is signed, we typically require a 30% upfront deposit for smaller residential projects. For commercial and industrial projects, terms are governed by the specific contractual agreement.

How long has Gold Standard been in business?

+

Gold Standard Coatings LLC has been in business since 2023, with the founders carrying 7+ years of professional industry experience including industrial structures, bridges, tanks, and large commercial buildings.

Site Logistics

What preparation should we do before the crew arrives?

+

For commercial spaces, clear the work area where possible and provide access. We bring containment, masking, and protection materials, and coordinate with your team on anything that needs to stay in place.

Will there be a mess during the project?

+

Before any application, we prepare the work area with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, masking, and other controls to prevent splatter or overspray. When work is complete, we conduct a full cleanup and leave the site tidy.

How long does paint take to cure?

+

Cure time depends on the system, environmental conditions, and ventilation. Latex paint typically reaches full cure in about 24 hours; oil-based and many industrial coating systems require up to 48 hours or more. We confirm cure and recoat windows in the spec for each project.
